Machil Deinum has been involved with the research group since the 2021–2022 academic year. He contributes as a specialist in the field of neurodiversity. In addition to his work as a researcher, he is a policy officer for Studying+ (studying with additional support needs) at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences.

Machil has previously conducted research on equal opportunities and inclusion in education. Currently, he focuses on the needs of people with dyslexia, ADHD, and ASD, with particular attention to (young) adults in digital learning and working environments. His mission is to make education truly accessible and equitable, so that everyone can enjoy a positive school experience, student life, and career.
