Sietske Tacoma
Sietske Tacoma has been working as a researcher within the research group Artificial Intelligence since 2021. She is interested in responsible application of new AI techniques in practice, especially in healthcare, public services and media.

Important themes in Sietske’s research are human-AI collaboration and evaluating the added value of AI in specific contexts. She studies the possibilities of AI, but also pays attention to what would make the professional’s work easier or better.
Besides research, Sietske is an educational designer and teacher in the Master programs Data Driven Business and Human-Centered AI, within Hogeschool Utrecht and in collaboration with other European universities. Sietske did a PhD on Automated feedback in statistics education and also developed educational material and software for mathematics education.
