Inge Wolbers

Researcher

Inge Wolbers (1988) has been a PhD candidate at the Research group Proactive care for older people living at home since 1 July 2018. She combines this appointment with her position as a senior lecturer in Nursing for the bachelor's degree programme in Nursing. Her doctoral research focuses on the professionalisation of district nurses.

Inge is herself a qualified nurse and health scientist. For her graduation research at the EMGO institute, she investigated how data from personnel files can be used to predict absenteeism due to illness. This research resulted in a publication in an international peer-reviewed journal.

In addition to her work as a lecturer in Nursing, she has participated in various research projects for the Research group Proactive care for older people living at home. The challenge and the pleasure she derived from this experience has increased her interest in doing practice-based research.
