Dr. Jessica Veldhuizen has been working within the research group Proactive care for older people living at home since 2016 and as a postdoctoral researcher since March 2024. Additionally, Jessica is a lecturer in the Bachelor of Nursing (HU) and the Master of Clinical Health Science (UU).
Her PhD research focused on working with outcomes in district nursing care to enable learning and improvement. As a postdoctoral researcher, she is involved in research on learning health systems in district nursing care, working with outcomes in primary care, and using data to promote self-reliance at home. This involves collaboration with various parties in practice, policy, research, and education.
