Richtext
After Margriet became a practice owner (Nuenen), she became chair of the professional association for exercise therapists. She then immersed herself in science through a Master's degree in Clinical Health Sciences (Utrecht University) and a PhD (Radboud University). In doing so, she became a lecturer/researcher (HU, Institute of Movement Studies). As an innovative researcher, her focus is on the multidimensionality of movement quality.
Margriet obtained her PhD from Radboud University (Nijmegen) in 2024. She developed and validated the Observable Movement Quality scale for patients with Low Back Pain (OMQ-LBP). Her follow-up research focuses on innovating and further validating this standardized observation, promoting meaningful therapist-patient interaction about movement quality, and using technology to support this.
