Our Part-Time Teacher Education in Spanish is a four-year programme in an international setting that joins our successful international Language Education programmes for English and German, as well as French. You will be taught in English and Spanish by our experienced lecturers and get to enjoy Utrecht's vibrant student life. You will have frequent and intensive contact with the Spanish-speaking world, spending 5 weeks during your study in Spain or Latin-America. Internships at Dutch schools are also a vital and highly educational part of the programme.

Combine this part-time programme with your career. After 4 years you’re ready to teach Spanish. You'll learn about teaching methodology, literature and culture of the Spanish-speaking countries, linguistics, second language acquisition and pedagogics. Furthermore, internships are a vital and highly educational part of the course.

Admission requirements Teacher Education in Spanish

If you want to apply to our Teacher Education in Spanish part-time programme, you need to have a secondary school diploma, and speak English at least at CEFR level B1. You also need to command Spanish at CEFR level A2 or higher. A language test is part of the admission process. Of course, love for Spanish and teaching is a must!
