Machiel Bouwmans PhD is researcher
at the research group Organizations in Digital Transition and lecturer at the
Institute for People & Business.
Machiel researches how digital transformation of organizations affects employees, and how we can support organizations and people in successful digital transformation. In his research, he focuses on re- and upskilling, essential digital transformation skills, and collaboration in cross-functional teams. In doing so, he connects education to practice, for example by supervising master's students in examining these issues in organizations.
Machiel has a background in sociology and political science and received his PhD in 2018 for research on team learning of teacher teams.
