RAAIT
The Responsible Applied Artificial InTelligence (RAAIT) program is a collaboration between HU University of Applied Sciences, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and a broad consortium of partners. Together with partners, RAAIT develops practical tools and knowledge for professionals. The program supports organizations in using AI responsibly, with attention to unintended consequences for users, citizens, and society.
Objective
RAAIT aims to grow into the national center for Responsible Applied AI with an international outlook. It strives for AI applications that respect public values, reduce inequality and bias, and provide organizations with actionable insights. In doing so, RAAIT enhances the societal value of AI and supports a responsible digital transition.
Results
The RAAIT project delivers practical tools, methods, and knowledge for the responsible use of AI. In addition, RAAIT facilitates strong collaborative networks, new research projects, and educational programs.
Approach
Through strong partnerships with practitioners, the meaning of responsible AI and the tools needed to support it are continuously refined and further developed. Within three domain communities—Public Services, Retail and Marketing, and the Creative Industries—real-world challenges are connected to developed tools and support services.
Education impact
In this way, RAAIT contributes to better-equipped professionals and organizations that apply AI consciously, effectively, and with an awareness of its societal impact.
